Host : Hello guys. Do you know the fairy tale, 'Golden Axe & Siver Axe'? We are going to show you a short part of the story which is dramatized, but would help you to understand. One day, a girl is having the donut while passing by a pond and out of the blue she dropped it by mistake.

Scene I. < #1. characters : Main Character, Mountain God >

[The landscape picture of PPT is a path in the forest]

Girl : Oh my goodness. My cookie! What should I do?

Mountain God : (Sound Effect #1, 'Bomb') Why do you have the blues? What's wrong? Please explain to me.

Girl : Who are you?

[The picture of PPT is Mountain God]

Mountain God : I am the god of this mountain. I can help the people who are in trouble like you.

Girl : I just dropped my cookie which is really special to me. My best friend sent me the cookie from Australia and I dropped it. It was the last one. What am I going to do? Can you help me?

Mountain God : I see. I think that I could help you.

Girl : Really? How can you sort it out?

Mountain God : Just give me a second. Is this your cookie?

Girl : No. It looks similar but it is not mine.

Mountain God : What about this?

Girl : Yes it is. That's mine.

Mountain God : Good girl. I will give you all of them.

Girl : Thank you, I really appreciate that. (Eating biscuit) Do you want some?

Mountain God : Sure. Hang on. Let me try it. (Eating biscuit) But what is the difference between the two. Do you know that?

Girl : Well, I don't know. Maybe this one is just a biscuit, and the other one is just a donut.

Mountain God : Hmm. Two similar cookies from the two different companies. I don't know why this happened...

Host: As you can see here, these two cookies look similar, and even taste similar, as well. They've wondered why it happened and if there is any problem with it. So I will show the past of these two companies from now on and it would be easier to help you understand. Let's go back and see the problem for this.

Scene II. < #2. characters : CEO & Worker of Krispy Kreme>

(Sound Effect #2 'Go back to the past'), [The landscape picture of PPT is Krispy's Office]

CEO of Kripsy : What the hell!! Our bottom line is getting lower. If this continues, we'll go bust soon. Are there any good ideas to sort this problem out?

Worker of Kripsy : (With a report) Hey boss. Look at this. It shows the biscuit of Arnott is really famous these days. I heard you are worried about our company will be in the red. I think it's time for us to launch a new product.

CEO of Kripsy : But, we don't have enough money. We are reducing research and development costs. So, it's impossible to make a new one.

Worker of Kripsy : Well, what about taking a hint from Vo-Vo biscuit? Then, we can whittle down the expenses to come up with a new product.

CEO of Kripsy : Classic! Give it a shot!

Host : So, they got the green light and this is the reason why Krispy Kreme bit the bullet making a new product which had a gimmick. Also I will show you another situation of Arnott after this incident.

Scene III. < #3. characters : CEO & Worker of Arnott>

[The landscape picture of PPT is Arnott's Office]

CEO of Arnott : (Throwing the reading material) I can't believe it. Our bottom line is getting lower. Our sales should be in the black. What's wrong?

Worker of Arnott : The market share of our main item Iced Vo-Vo biscuit is going down with flying colours. I was curious about that, so I tried to find out the reason, and it turned out that Krispy Kreme released a similar donut named, Iced Dough Vo donut.

CEO of Arnott : What? Hold on. Let me see the picture of the two products. (After looking at the picture he is angry) Clearly, it is a challenge to us. Their product could hamstring our product in market shares. We should take action! I want to see the end of showdown.

Host: As you see, Arnott couldn't accept this situation, so they tried to ask Krispy Kreme to stop selling the Iced Dough Vo. But Krispy Kreme thought it was not a problem. That's why Arnott took legal action and sued Krispy Kreme.

Scene IV. < #4. characters : Judge, CEO of Kripy, CEO of Arnott>

(Sound Effect #3 'Sound of Hammer'), [The landscape picture of PPT is the court]

Judge : Let the process begin. Arnott's CEO, explain your opinion first.

CEO of Arnott : I think the Krispy Kreme's Iced Dough-Vo donut copied our Iced Vo-Vo biscuit. We've had a trademark on the Vo-Vo since 1906. The two products look very simiar. The sales of Vo-Vo are going down. We are asking you to stop the selling the Iced Dough-Vo donut.

CEO of Kripsy : What are you talking about? We can't accept this! Hey, listen to me. We don't see any problem with our Iced Dough-Vo. (To the audiences) You guys are not stupid. Are you? These two are quite different. Our customers are pretty smart. Right? There is no one who can't distinguish them. Don't think our customers are fools.

CEO of Arnott : It is unreasonable. We already made this product and also have a patent for it. It's an infringement of patent. Your company shouldn't be given green light to sell this product. Even the name and recipe are almost the same.

CEO of Kripsy : How can you say that kind of thing? The name is just a tribute to your famous biscuit. It's sort of win-win strategy. More over, our company is a global corporation. I'm sure your brand is becoming more popular compared with before. It will be lucrative for us. But, why do you do that? I think you should express gratitude to me, rather than accuse me.

Host: Arnott made this cookie first, and they became popular. After that, Krispy Kreme released its new donut based on Arnott's. The problem is they are almost identical to its biscuit both in name and in recipe. So what do you think about this situation? That's all for our roleplaying and Thank you for listening.
