Some believe that today, young people are more influenced by teachers; others insist that in the past they were more influenced by teachers. Which do you think is more desirable? Use specific reasons and details in your essay.
Over the past few decades, it has been argued in which time young students are more influenced by teachers. Some might say students in the past were more so because, simply to mention, they think back then there were a few resources for students to get taught. In the other hand, others would not agree with them for several reasons. My point of view is, however, that students in current time are more influenced by teachers in some aspects. I have a couple of reasons which support my opinion and will demonstrate them in the next following paragraphs below.
First of all, as there increasingly appear the phenomenon of two-income households, the ratio of parents who leave their children up to school has been grown significantly. The children, which comprise the band of young students, are now more in contact with teachers than their own parents. It could be thought, then, that they are apparently more influenced by teachers than those in the past were. This is because their major physical relationship is replaced with spending time hanging out being with teachers who are designated in the place they are in. Some might say, however, that there are other alternatives which provide young people with means for education, social contexts, or basic disciplines, so there are only few impacts for students by belonging to the group of school, spending their majority of time with teachers. But, their insistence is not applied to every students. It is likely, though, that students in the certain age which determines that they can independently study would not be affected by teachers that far, for young people, especially under the age of 13, the influence of teachers is dominant. I would like to give you one of examples of my opinion. When I was younger, to be specific when I was 8 years old, I went to school everyday. I stayed much longer in school than my own house. For me, the teachers were the only source that I could trust and willingly accept. I followed the instructions of them and tried to have a good relationship with them. That was because those teachers were the few adult members of my little society. I remember that back then I was This demonstrates one of the reasons which supports my sub-opinion that nowadays students tend to more hang out with teachers than those in the past did.
Secondly, teachers now become able to contact their students via the creations of advanced information technology, such as diverse messenger apps, online-chat, or face talks. As the level of information technology repeatedly advances, the ways to be used for online-communication get varied and diversified. What it means is that students and teachers are now more easily access to one another. In the past, the relation between students and teachers was fairly vertical, which means that there only occurred much less interactions between them than there are now. However, nowadays, in the supports of the advanced technology, we are able to contact with others more easily and can share own experience via versa. This phenomenon is also consistent with the interactions between students and teachers. They become more in contact with each other, and actively share their cultural, educational, and social lifestyles, contexts, or point of views. Let me give you an example of this. I was born in 2002, and the generation where I am is one of the few bands which experienced the shifting from analogue to digital. The golden cross occurred when I was 6th grade. Before that, the relationship between students and teachers were stuck at the conventional structure, which means that the relationship was vertical and only applied when we are in school. But, after the golden cross, the national ministry of education implemented the whole new educational system. This made school to start taking social messenger apps into classes. Students became connected with teachers almost constantly. My friends and I would chats with our teachers. When we found something interesting we would send it to them. The example ends here. This is a brief story which explains how I felt the reformation of the relationship between students and teachers as time passes. And, based on this, it is obvious that students in present day are more influenced by teachers. This demonstrates one of the reasons which supports my opinion.
