[000] Now, the Rest of the Story.
[001] Harley was a daydreamer.
[002] And much to the consternation of his wife, the condition
was most apparent Sunday mornings in church, and one
Sunday morning, in particular.
[003] Harley professed a perfect excuse each time the Mrs.
gently elbowed him.
[004] Said he was searching his mind for "the perfect name,"
and that is indeed what Harley was doing.
[005] Harley's factory was just then manufacturing a new
product.
[006] It had been invented right there in the plant by mistake.
[007] Somebody forgot to turn off the machines. When the error
was discovered, it was this remarkable, salable result.
And yet, though the product's discovery was accidental,
its name must be chosen deliberately.
[008] For as Harley knew well, effective advertising and
merchandising was requisite even for the finest
merchandise.
[009] But a name refused to come.
[010] Harley recorded pages of suggestions from business
associates, from friends and family, and yet none seemed
completely satisfactory, none just "said it all."
[011] He frowned as he read and reread the list of prospective
names, and then he decided if he were ever going to
choose one, he must first eliminate the obviously
unpromising ones.
[012] And so he did.
[013]Selected what appeared to be the best choices and wrote
them down on a sheet of paper.
[014] And yet none was more attractive than it had been in the
first place.
[015] Two weeks passed and Harley's fretting grew to deeper
concern.
[016] Prospective names distracted him during the daytime and
paraded monotonously through his brain while he slept.
[017] Yet, among them, the right one was utterly absent.
[018] So, here was Harley sitting in church that Sunday,
exhausted from a fortnight of fitful sleep, tormented by
the certainty that the absolutely right name for his
product was out there somewhere, hiding behind the
others.
[019] And so preoccupied was Harley that he remained standing
after the hymn-singing.
[020] The rest of the congregation had sat down.
[021] Harley was still on his feet, staring vacantly, drawing
suppressed chuckles from the brethren until his wife
tugged on his coat.
[022] And then, Charlie, embarrassed, sat down in the pew, and
then the minister opened his Bible.
[023] "The text for the day," said the preacher, "is taken from
the Book of Psalms, Chapter 45 Verse 8," which he then
read aloud.
[024] And as he did, Harley's eyes grew wide.
[025] There it was, the name for which he had so fervently
searched, issuing forth down the corridors of time from
the mouth of King David himself.
[026] In his elation, Harley leapt to his feet and ran out the
door.
[027] The name for his new soap had been chosen as it would
remain forevermore.
[028] Because of a factory attendant's oversight, because of an
oversight by a factory attendant, a mixing vat had been
left running too long, and that is how the soap was
invented.
[029] That, in fact, is what made the soap float--got some air
in it.
[030] And because Harley Proctor happened to be in church that
Sunday, he was there to hear the pastor read about the
palaces in the Book of Psalms, "the Palaces of Ivory."
[031] Ha, ha, ha, ha now, now, of course, you know the rest of
the story.

[000] 이제 the Rest of the Story입니다.
[031] 하, 하, 하, 하, 지금, 물론, 당신은 the rest of the
