1) Computer programing class should be mandatory in high school. Do you agree or disagree with the statement? Use specific reasons and details in your essay.
There have been discussions about whether computer programming classes need being mandatory in high school. Some might agree with the proposition because they think computer is now one of the most common devices in everyday life; nevertheless, others might disagree with them for some reason. However, my standpoint on this topic is that high schools need to incorporate computer programming classes into their regular course of study. I'm going to demonstrate the reason why I think so in the following paragraphs.
Information Technology is now one of the most uprising fields of work, but not as many students as it deserves are going into it. IT industry has shown its potential to change the world better over the past decades, which has enabled us to glimpse the path through which human beings should progress in the 21st century. To recap what I have said above, IT field is the keystone in the contemporary era. However, not many students plan to major in the field of IT. This makes numerous governments across the world feel the need to encourage their young generations to get interested in it. A plenty of pertinent solutions have thus been proposed by many education experts, and one of them is likely to be one that makes computer programming classes compulsory in school's regular course of study. The intention of this implementation is to make young people to contact with computer-oriented knowledge as soon as they are possible. Most people are easily influenced or stimulated by what they have done or were relevant with in their adolescence period; this is an obvious fact, given that many adults aged from the 30s to 50s, which makes up of the majority of a country's workers pool, say that their favorite musics are mostly comprised of those they heard in their school days. This is one of the examples which demonstrates how much people are susceptible to the impressions they had in their youth. Therefore, in the stand point of stirring up students to join in the field of IT, it would be a good idea to make computer programming classes mandatory in high school.
Then, the discussion in turn leads us to what kind of knowledge regarding IT we are supposed to include in the computer programming classes in high school. It is hard to say that students willingly study in school. Most of them learn and attend classes by compulsion of the surroundings such as their society or parents. So, the computer programming classes at the same time should be so attractive to students as to voluntarily grasp what the class offers them and fulfill its original intention to teach students with comprehending information technology fundamentals. My first-hand experience I had when having a part time job of teaching assistance in a local English academy could be a good example for explanation of what is important in terms of drawing attention of participating students. After charged in a few classes comprised of middle-high school students, I acknowledged this: in a class, students not only want to get scholarly knowledge they didn't know from their teacher, but also are inclined to have emotional communication with them. Barely no student attends classes readily as I mentioned above. Thus, to make my classes seem engaging to students, I tried several behaviors and conversations with students which are likely to gain their attention, and those actually worked. My class soon got filled with bunch of students, which demonstrated my approach to the topic was not wrong or at least not irrelevant. This could be applied to the topic's situation. Teachers can use a variety of behavior practices to stimulate students pay attention to the class, which will result in much more students going into the IT field.
