CVD Equipment for Growing Carbon Nanotubes The equipment is designed for growing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as powder or film/substrate (Si, quartz, stainless, Ti, etc) . Easy operation and mass-production are realized. It is well used in laboratories of universities and R&D divisions of companies.
Methane gas (standard) or ethanol vapor (option) mixed with N2 and H2 in a gas-blender are introduced into the furnace to grow single-wall, double-wall, and multi-wall CNTs. Nanofibers and nanocoils are also available. The standard inner size of the quartz-tube-type CVD furnace is 70 mm in diameter and 600 mm in length. Larger or smaller sizes are also available. The temperature in the furnace can reach to 1000℃ in 30 minutes. Two quarts windows are set on both sides of the quartz tube, through which CNTs growth can be directly observed and analyzed. |
This is a unique equipment for easily synthesizing carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in alcohol liquid at atmosphere.
The substrate with catalyst (Fe, Co, or Ni) deposition film is set on the heater plate and then heated by introducing current through Electrodes. Alcohol at the high-temperature substrate surface is decomposed to get carbon atoms and carbon nanotubes grow on the catalyst film. Inert gas can be introduced into the glass chamber for safety. |
