1 을오트는 두 천사들을 접대[환대]함. 4 그 악덕한[사악한, 부도덕한] 소드옴인[사람]들은 눈멂[실명, 시각상실](으)로 가해짐[맞음]. 12 을오트는 그 산들로 안전으로 보내어짐. 18 그는 스으오아르로 가도록 허락을 얻음. 24 소드오메와 고모르라흐가 멸망당함. 26 을오트의 아내는 소금의 한 기둥으로 있음. 30 을오트는 한 (동)굴에서 머무름[거주함, 삶]. 31 모아브와 암몬의 근친상간의 기원[원천].
ANd there came two Angels to Sodome at euen, and Lot sate in the gate of Sodome: and Lot seeing them, rose vp to meet them, and he bowed himselfe with his face toward the ground;

AND there came two angels to Sod‘om at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sod’om: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

2 And he said, Beholde now my Lords, turne in, I pray you, into your seruants house, and tarie all night, and ★Chap. 18. 4. wash your feete, and ye shall rise vp early and goe on your wayes. And they said, Nay: but we wil abide in the street all night.
2 그리로 그는 말하였으니, 저의 주들이시여 이제 보시옵소서, 당신들의 종의 집으로, 제가 당신들께 간청[간원]하오니, (돌이켜) 들어가시옵소서, 그리고 온 밤을 묵으시옵소서[체재하히옵소서], 그리고 ★18.장. 4. 당신들의 발들을 씻으시옵소서, 그리고 당신들께서는 일찍 일어나시며 또 당신들의 길들을 가셔야하실 것이옵니다, 라고 하였습니다. 그런데 그들은 말하였으니, 아니니: (반면에) 우리들은 그 거리에서 온 밤을 머무를 것입니다, 라고 하였습니다.
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
2 그리로 그는 말하였으니, 이제 보시옵소서, 저의 주들이시여, 제가 당신들께 간청[간원]하오니, 당신들의 종의 집으로 (돌이켜) 들어가시옵소서, 그리고 온 밤을 묵으시옵소서[체재하히옵소서], 그리고 당신들의 발들을 씻으시옵소서, 그리고 당신들께서는 일찍 일어나셔야하실 것이며, 그래서 당신들의 길들을 가(셔야하실 것)이옵니다, 라고 하였습니다. 그런데 그들은 말하였으니, 아니니; (반면에) 우리들은 그 거리에서 온 밤을 머무를 것입니다, 라고 하였습니다.

3 And he pressed vpon them greatly, and they turned in vnto him, and entred into his house: and he made them a feast, and did bake vnleauened bread, and they did eate.
3 그리고 그는 그들에 대하여 대단히[매우] 강권[강요]하였으니, 그래서 그들은 그에게 돌이켰고 (돌이켜 들어갔고), 또 그의 집으로 들어갔으며: 그리고 그는 그들에게 한 잔치를[축연을] 베풀었고, 또 (발)효소[발효제]를 넣지 않은 빵을 정녕 구웠는데, 그래서 그들은 정녕 먹었습니다.
3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

4 ¶ But before they lay downe, the men of the citie, euen the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and yong, all the people from euery quarter.
4 ¶ 그러나 그들이 누운 이전에, 그 도시의 그 남자[사람]들, 곧 소드옴의 그 남자[사람]들이, 나이 든 사람[자]들뿐 아니라 젊은 사람[자]들도, 각 방면[지역]으로부터 모든 그 백성(들)이, 그 집 둘레를 에워쌌습니다.
4 ¶ But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sod‘om, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
4 ¶ 그러나 그들이 누운 이전에, 그 도시의 그 남자[사람]들, 곧 소드‘옴의 그 남자[사람]들이, 나이 든 사람[자]들뿐 아니라 젊은 사람[자]들도, 각 방면[지역]으로부터 모든 그 백성(들)이, 그 집 둘레를 에워쌌으며:

5 And they called vnto Lot, and said vnto him, Where are the men which come in to thee this night? bring them out vnto vs, that we may know them.
5 그리고 그들은 을오트에게 이르기까지 불렀으며, 또 그에게 말하였으니, 어디에 이 밤에 그대에게 들어온 그 남자[사람]들이 있소이까? 우리들에게 그들을 데려오시오, 그것은 우리들이 그들을 알 수 있도록 하는 것이오, 라고 하였습니다.
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which come in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
5 그리고 그들은 을오트[을로트]에게 이르기까지 불렀으며, 또 그에게 말하였으니, 어디에 이 밤에 그대에게 들어온 그 남자[사람]들이 있소이까? 그들을 우리들에게 데려오시오, 그것은 우리들이 그들을 알 수 있도록 하는 것이오, 라고 하였습니다.

6 And Lot went out at the doore vnto them, (and) shut the doore after him,

7 And said, I pray you, brethren, doe not so wickedly.

8 Behold now, I haue two daughters, which haue not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out vnto you, and doe ye to them, as is good in your eyes: onely vnto these men do nothing: for therefore came they vnder the shadow of my roofe.
8 이제 보십시오, 나는 두 (명의) 딸들을 두고 있는데, 그 사람들[☆두 딸들]은 남자를 알지 못하였던 사람들로서; 나로 하여금, 내가 그대들에게 간청[간원]하오니, 그대들에게 그(녀)들을 이끌어내며, 그래서 그대들이 그(녀)들에게 행하십시오, 그것은 그대들의 눈들에 좋은 상태로 있는 대로: 오직 이들 남자[사람]들께 아무것도 행하지 마십시오: 왜냐하면 그런 까닭에 그들은 나의 지붕의 그 그늘 아래에 이르렀기 때문입니다, 라고 하였습니다.
8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
8 이제 보십시오, 나는 남자를 알지 못하였던 두 (명의) 딸들을 두고 있으니; 나로 하여금, 내가 그대들에게 간청[간원]하노니, 그대들에게 그(녀)들을 이끌어내며, 그래서 그대들이 그대들의 눈들에 좋은 상태로 있는 대로 그(녀)들에게 행하십시오: 오직 이들 남자[사람]들께 아무것도 행하지 마십시오; 왜냐하면 그런 까닭에 그들은 나의 지붕의 그 그늘 아래에 이르렀기 때문입니다, 라고 하였습니다.

9 And they said, Stand backe. And they said againe, This one fellow came in to soiourne, and he will needs bee a Iudge: Now wil we deale worse with thee, then with them. And they pressed sore vpon the man, euen Lot, and came neere to breake the doore.
9 그런데 그들은 말하였으니, 뒤로 물러서시오, 라고 하였습니다. 그리고 (또) 그들은 다시 말하였으니, 이 한 (명의) 사람이[자가] 머무르기 위하여 들어왔으며, 또 그는 꼭[반드시] 한 재판관이 되려고 하는데: 이제 우리들은 그들에 대하여보다, 그대에 대하여 더욱 나쁘게 취급할[다룰] 것이오, 라고 하였습니다. 그리고 그들은 그 사람, 곧 을오트에게 심하게[몹시] 밀어붙였으며, 그래서 그 문을 부수게 되기까지 가까이 이르렀습니다.
9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
9 그런데 그들은 말하였으니, 뒤로 물러서시오, 라고 하였습니다. 그리고 (또) 그들은 다시 말하였으니, 이 한 (명의) 사람이[자가] 머무르기 위하여 들어왔으며, 또 그는 꼭[반드시] 한 재판관이 되려고 하는데: 이제 우리들은 그들에 대하여보다 그대에 대하여 더욱 나쁘게 취급할[다룰] 것이오, 라고 하였습니다. 그리고 그들은 그 사람, 곧 을오트[을로트]에게 심하게[몹시] 밀어붙였으며, 그래서 그 문을 부수게 되기까지 가까이 이르렀습니다.

10 But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut the doore.

11 And they smote the men ★Wisd. 19. 16. that were at the doore of the house, with blindnes, both small and great: so that they wearied themselues to finde the doore.
11 그리고 그들은 작은 자들뿐 아니라 큰 자들도, 눈멂[실명, 시각 상실](으)로 ★(솔오몬의) 지혜[경외: 외경]. 19. 16. 그 집의 그 문에 있은 그 남자[사람]들을 쳤는데: 그래서 그들은 그 문을 찾아내기 위하여 그들 자신들을 지치게 하였습니다.
11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

12 ¶ And the men said vnto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? sonne in law, and thy sonnes, and thy daughters, and whatsoeuer thou hast in the citie, bring them out of this place.
12 ¶ 그리고 그 남자[사람]들은 을오트에게 말하였으니, 그대는 여기에 그 밖에 누군가 두고 있습니까? 법적으로 아들과[사위와], 또 그대의 아들들과, 또 그대의 딸들과, 또 그대가 이 도시에서 두고[가지고] 있는 것은 무엇이든지, 이 장소에서 그들[그것들]을 이끌어 내십시오.
12 ¶ And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son-in-law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:

13 For we will destroy this place, because the ★Chap. 18. 20. crie of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD: and the LORD hath sent vs to destroy it.
13 왜냐하면 우리들은 이 장소를 멸망시킬 것인데, (그 이유는) 그들의 그 ★18.장. 20. 함성[고함, 부르짖음]이 그 주님의 그 존안 앞에 큰 상태로 되었기 때문이니: 그래서 그 주님께옵서 그것을 멸망시키시기 위하여 우리들을 보내셨습니다.
13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
13 왜냐하면 우리들은 이 장소를 멸망시킬 것인데, (그 이유는) 그들의 그 함성[고함, 부르짖음]이 그 주님의 그 존안 앞에 큰 상태로 되었기 때문이니; 그래서 그 주님께옵서 그것을 멸망시키시기 위하여 우리들을 보내셨습니다.

14 And Lot went out, and spake vnto his sonnes in law, which married his daughters, and said, Vp, get yee out of this place: for the LORD wil destroy this citie: but hee seemed as one that mocked, vnto his sonnes in law.
14 그래서 을오트는 나갔으며, 또 그의 법적으로 아들[사위]들에게 이야기하였는데, 그 사람들은 그의 딸들과 결혼한 사람들로서, 또 말하였으니, 일어나라, 자네[그대]들은 이 장소에서 나가라: 왜냐하면 그 주님께옵서 이 도시를 멸망시키실 것이기 때문이니라, 라고 하였는데: 그러나 그는 그의 법적으로 아들[사위]들에게, 조롱한[놀린] 한 사람과 같이 여겨졌습니다.
14 19: 8의 딸들과 이 절의 딸들은 다른 딸들로 보임: 결혼한 딸 둘과 결혼하지 않은 딸 둘 등 모두 4명으로 보임.
14 And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons-in-law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons-in-law.
14 그래서 을오트[을로트]는 나갔으며, 또 그의 법적으로 아들[사위]들에게 이야기 하였는데, 그 사람들은 그의 딸들과 결혼한 사람들로서, 또 말하였으니, 일어나라, 자네[너희]들을 이 장소에서 나가게 하라; 왜냐하면 그 주님께옵서 이 도시를 멸망시키실 것이기 때문이니라, 라고 하였습니다. 그러나 그는 그의 법적으로 아들[사위]들에게 조롱한[놀린] 한 사람과 같이 여겨졌습니다.

15 ¶ And when the morning arose, then the Angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, (and) thy two daughters, which †Heb. are found. are here, lest thou be consumed in the ‖Or, punishment. iniquitie of the citie.
15 ¶ 그리고 그 아침이 밝아온[된] 때에, 그때 그 천사들은 을오트를 서두르게 하였으니, 말함은, 일어나십시오, 그대의 아내와, (또) 그대의 두 (명의) 딸들을 데려가십시오, 그 사람[☆딸]들은 †헤브. 발견된. 여기에 있은 사람[딸]들로서, 그대가 그 도시의 그 ‖혹은, 형벌[벌, 응징]. 부정[불법] 속에서 다 태워지지[소멸되지] 않도록.
15 ¶ And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
15 ¶ 그리고 그 아침이 밝아온[된] 때에, 그때 그 천사들은 을오트[을로트]를 서두르게 하였으니, 말함은, 일어나십시오, 그대의 아내와, 또 그대의 두 (명의) 딸들을 데려가십시오, 그 사람[☆딸]들은 여기에 있은 사람[딸]들로서; 그대가 그 도시의 그 부정[불법] 속에서 다 태워지지[소멸되지] 않도록.

16 And ★Wisd. 10. 6. while he lingered, the men laid hold vpon his hand, and vpon the hand of his wife, and vpon the hand of his two daughters, the LORD being mercifull vnto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the citie.
16 그리고 ★(솔오몬의) 지혜[경외: 외경]. 10. 6. 그가 꾸물거린 동안에, 그 남자[사람]들은 그의 손의 위에, 또 그의 아내의 그 손의 위에, 또 그의 두 (명의) 딸들의 그 손의 위에 붙잡음을 두었는데[붙잡았는데], 그 주님께옵서 그에게 자비로우신 상태로 계심으로: 그리고 그들은 그를 이끌어 내었고, 또 그 도시의 밖에 그를 두었습니다.
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
16 그리고 그가 꾸물거린 동안에, 그 남자[사람]들은 그의 손의 위에, 또 그의 아내의 그 손의 위에, 또 그의 두 (명의) 딸들의 그 손의 위에 붙잡음을 두었는데[붙잡았는데]; 그 주님께옵서 그에게 자비로우신 상태로 계심으로: 그리고 그들은 그를 이끌어 내었고, 또 그 도시의 밖에 그를 두었습니다.

17 ¶ And it came to passe, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life, looke not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plaine: escape to the mountaine, lest thou bee consumed.
17 ¶ 그리고 그것이 일어났는데, 그 때는 그들이 그들을 멀리 이끌어낸 때로서, 그것은 그분께옵서 말씀하신 것이니, 너의 생명을 위하여 도망치라[달아나라], 너 뒤(쪽)에 보지 말라, 너는 모든 그 평야[평지]에서 머무르지도 또한 말라: 그 산에 도망치라[달아나라], 네가 다 태워지지[소멸되지] 않도록.

17 ¶ And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life, look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

18 And Lot said vnto them, Oh not so, my Lord.

19 Beholde now, thy seruant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed vnto me, in sauing my life, and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some euill take me, and I die.
19 이제 보시옵소서, 당신의 종이 당신의 시야에 은혜를 발견하였으며, 또 당신께서는 당신의 자비를 크게 하셨는데, 그것은 당신께서 저에게 저의 생명을 구원함으로 보여주셨던 것으로서, 그런데 저는 그 산에[으로] 도망칠[달아날] 수 없사오니, 어떤 재앙[해악]이 저를 덮치지 않으며, 또 제가 죽지 않도록.
19 Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast sho[e]wed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
19 이제 보시옵소서, 당신의 종이 당신의 시야에 은혜를 발견하였으며, 또 당신께서는 당신의 자비를 크게 하셨는데, 그것은 당신께서 저에게 저의 생명을 구원함으로 보여주셨던 것으로서; 그런데 저는 그 산에[으로] 도망칠[달아날] 수 없사오니, 어떤 재앙[해악]이 저를 덮치지 않으며, 또 제가 죽지 않도록:

20 Behold now, this citie is neere to flee vnto, and it is a litle one: Oh let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soule shall liue.
20 이제 보시옵소서, 이 도시는 (그것에) 도망치기에[달아나기에] 가까운 상태로 있으며, 또 그것이 한 작은 그것이니: 오 저로 하여금 그쪽에 도망치게[달아나게] 하시옵소서, (그것은 한 작은 그것으로 있지 않사옵니까?) 그래서 저의 혼이 살아야할 것이옵니다, 라고 하였습니다.
20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
20 이제 보시옵소서, 이 도시는 (그것에) 도망치기에[달아나기에] 가까운 상태로 있으며, 또 그것은 한 작은 그것이니: 오, 저로 하여금 그쪽에 도망치게[달아나게] 하시옵소서, (그것은 한 작은 그것으로 있지 않사옵니까?) 그래서 저의 혼이 살아야할 것이옵니다, 라고 하였습니다.

21 And he said vnto him, See, I haue accepted †Heb. thy face. thee concerning this thing (), that I will not ouerthrow this citie, for the which thou hast spoken.
21 그래서 그는 그에게 말하였으니, 보십시오, 나는 () 이 것[일]에 관하여 †헤브. 그대의 얼굴을. 그대를 받아들였는데, 그것은 내가 이 도시를 뒤집어엎지 않을 것이라는 것인데, (그) 그것을 위하여 그대가 이야기하였던 것입니다.
21 he가 문맥상으로는 천사들로 보이나, 내용이나 인칭으로 보아 하나님이신 것으로도 보임: 일단 천사로 옮김.
21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
21 그래서 그는 그에게 말하였으니, 보십시오, 나는 마찬가지로 이 것[일]에 관하여도 또한 그대를 받아들였는데, 그것은 내가 이 도시를 뒤집어엎지 않을 것이라는 것인데, (그) 그것을 위하여 그대가 이야기하였던 것입니다.

22 Haste thee, escape thither: for I cannot doe any thing till thou bee come thither: therefore the name of the citie was called Zoar.
