답: shortened, as to, foreseeable, namely, certain, grills, bare, sleep in
We know how much I love Maccas, right? All day, every day. Yeap. But breakfast hours have been shortened at McDonalds due to the ongoing egg supply issues. Let’s cross live now tonight, Adelaide reporter, Will Di Fulvio in Goodwood. Will, good morning to you.
McDonalds is promising the measure is temporary. Thank goodness. That’s right, Carl. But unfortunately, they haven’t given an indication as to when they might stop the measure. It is indefinite at the moment and anybody hoping to stay in bed warm for just little bit longer might be kicking themselves if they try to get a breakfast on the go after 10:30.
They’re gonna stop the toasters an hour and a half earlier for the foreseeable future. This has been ongoing for about a day now and the fast food chain has said it is to manage a short supply in the market, which they had put down to a bunch of industry pressures, namely a, a bird, an outbreak of a bird flu virus in other states.
South Australia at the moment is free from it and to keep it that way, there are some restrictions on certain eggs and poultry as well and that in hand with the natural winter short supply of eggs. McDonalds has said that they have to manage how they use it, so which has led to them stopping the grills an hour and a half early at 10:30 but the sliver of hope is that hash browns are available all day.
But also, Carl, the question now turns to supermarkets. There have been shelves at some Coles and Woollies that have run bare while some independent smaller stores say they’re having no problems getting their eggs in. They have to get a cheeseburger with eggs and fries in it for brekkie on the weekend. And a few nuggets. There you go. Yeah, if you wanna sleep in. Umm. There’s always a way. Thanks, Will. Just grow up and have a chicken burger.
