마네킹의 일기
강서일

단지 목적을 위해 태어났으니
내게 존재론은 없다. 신의 섭리나 
아담과 이브의 사랑도 없다. 먼지의 공장에서 대량 생산되어 
비릿한 인간의 죄 한 자락도 
내게는 없다. 그리하여 화려한 쇼윈도에서
예쁜 옷가지만 보여주면 그뿐 
필요에 따라 한쪽 팔이 없거나 
눈 없고 코 없는 얼굴도 상관없다. 북극한파가 덮친 서울의 새벽
지하도 한쪽에 숨어 우는
한 여인의 눈물이 눈부시다. 붉은 입술을 지워버린 저 슬픔은 
본디 내게는 없었으니 
고통의 환희는 더욱 없었으니 
살아있는 생은 과연 저런 것인가. 

A mannequin’s diary
Kang, Seo Il

Born solely for a purpose,
I have no ontology.
There’s no divine providence,
neither the love of Adam and Eve.
Mass-produced in the dust factory,
even a strand of the filthy sin of human being
is not left for me.
So, in a dazzling shop window,
all I have to do is show off pretty clothes,
If necessary, it doesn’t matter if I miss one arm,
or I have eyeless or noseless face.
At dawn in Seoul, hit by an arctic cold wave,
hiding and crying in a corner of an underground passage,
a woman’s tears are dazzling.
That sadness that erased her red lips,
I never had it before,
even less was there the joy of suffering,
I wonder the living life is indeed like that
